Yin’s alarm clock is set to ring at 6am but she wakes up only at 6:30am.
The goddamn snooze alarm!
The clock rings at 6, Yin presses the snooze alarm, and goes back to sleep.
Five minutes later it rings again.
She hits the snooze alarm again, and goes back to sleep again.
Five minutes later it rings yet again.
She hits the snooze alarm for the third time, and then she goes back to sleep again.
This goes on till about 6:30am when I have develped a bloody headache by then and scream at her to wake up.
(So, I’m the real alarm that wakes my wife up, am I not?)
I don’t have to wake up at 6am, she’s the one who does.
But when she keeps hitting the snooze alarm, I get awaken and because the clock is not in my hands, I am not in control, the alarm sounding off every five minutes for half an hour gives me a pounding headache that drives me crazy.
This happens every morning I am at home.
Thank God I have a traveling job.
Thank God I am not at home all the time.
And whoever invented the snooze alarm, may you never wake up from your sleep!
