When I was in Kuala Lumpur on October 29 I was taken by Angeline, Tonny, Tracy and Joey to RibLee’s at Desa Sri Hartamas.
RibLee’s specializes in ribs – beef, pork and wild boar. Yes, wild boar ribs!
The pork and wild boar dishes are a welcome choice especially when many eating establishments in KL – even those inside hotels – are halal and pork dishes are hard to come by.
RibLee’s menu is extensive, the place noisy – I was told it is normally quiet but that night we were there was a table of Ah Lians yelling their lungs out – and decorated in a haphazard manner, the service not too bad…but what knocked me out was this dish of Spicy Angel Hair Pasta, which should have been renamed Spicy Pork Lard Angel Hair Pasta – a dish sprinkled with generous amounts of fine, crispy pork lard and micro bacon bits – it is as if the restaurant created the dish to thumb its nose at all those halal places proliferating KL:
