Hong Kongers love milk tea – tea with evaporated milk – sometimes called panty hose tea because of the way it is prepared (filtered through a panty hose-like cotton “sock.”)
Lan Fong Yuen at 2 Gage Street has been making their milk tea for over 50 years.
It has now opened two more stores – another one also at Gage Street and one more at the infamous Chungking Mansion in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Besides milk tea, Lan Fong Yuen also sells Macau-style pork-chop sandwich or pork-chop burger.
As always, the place is packed but service is polite and good, if somewhat brisk.
