Lunch at Jemadi

Another “must go” place in Medan is Jemadi, a restaurant operating right smack in a residential area. In fact it is actually someone’s residence.

The Padang-style restaurant is along Jalan Jemadi. “Padang-style” means at least then different dishes are placed on your table – you only pay for whatever you’ve consumed.

When we visited on April 1, we had the fish fillet:

They also serve bone marrow which you’ll need a drinking straw to suck out:

All these washed down with Jemadi’s famous, one-of-a-kind cucumber drink which I’ve not been able to find anywhere else in the world:
