The Grand Duck King

Located in the heart of Medan, The Grand Duck King occupies nearly half the floor of level two of Cambridge City Square, decorated luxuriously in oak wood finishes with shimmering bronze effects of mirrors and lightings.

We ordered Peking Duck (what else?) – we ordered a whole duck but what came didn’t look like a whole duck at all:

We also ordered sea cucumber, which was delicious:

However the eel (in stone pot) we ordered was a waste of time:

What actually saved the day was the squid coated with salted egg yolk and deep-fried:
