All the lights are on, but nobody's home!
Motorists visiting the just-opened Nex mall in Serangoon were caught in a bottleneck on November 29 because of the design of the carpark.
Drivers heading to the second level and those descending to the first level – as well as those on the way out of the carpark – all got in the way of one another, causing jams inside and outside the carpark.
Motorists also complained about the narrow driveway between two rows of parking spaces, and the narrow ramp between levels that required cars to execute a nearly 90-degree turn.
Others noted the lack of green-light indicators to show the location of available spots among the 400 spaces there.
