For communicating right?
So that no matter where you are, you can be reached.
If that’s the case, why do people not answer their cell phones?
Or take forever to return text messages?
I become quite exasperated when I don’t get replies to my SMS or emails fast enough.
First of all, I think it defeats your having a cellular phone or a computer in this digital age. I mean, in this fast-moving world, as far as I’m concerned, there are only two kinds of people – the quick or the dead.
I have no time for lethargic amoeba-like lifeforms who exist and move at snail’s pace. And I will NOT wait for you. If you carry a BlackBerry or an iPhone or one of those Android phones – why aren’t you checking your emails? It’s not very smart carrying a smart phone when you’re not using it.
Secondly, I think you are being rude and show gross disrespect when you ignore my text messages and my emails or take a longer-than-usual time to respond.
If I have taken time and effort to send you a text message or compose you an email, I believe I deserve a response.
Even a one-alphabet response “K” is suffice.
Silence is unforgivable.
I am beginning to prune my address book and to purge names of people who don’t think it is necessary to be polite.
You won’t hear from me ever again.
And I will let you taste a bit of your own medicine – your text messages and emails to me will be ignored.
You have been put on notice.
