The media was quick to call 2012 a year of lust.
How unoriginal.
Since when is a year not a year of lust?
Since time immemorial, men have had problems keeping their peckers in their pants!
Plus, lust may have little to do with it.
Often, it’s about power, yadda yadda yadda.
But I won’t waste my breath explaining.
There are enough self-styled experts out there who can explain why men – and women – stray, not that I agree with many of them.
I speak as a serial adulterer myself, as per Matthew 5:28.
But for now, this song, sang to the tune of Where Have All the Flowers Gone, written by Peter Seeger in 1955, seems appropriate:
Where have all the scruples gone?
High flyers straying…
Where have all their morals gone
Long time ago?
Debauchery got them – every one…
Oh, they fell like dominos.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all those 50 gone?
Humping a teenage whore?
Where have all those horny people gone?
To get it off?
Did they all kiss their brains goodbye?
Oh, they all had to pay!
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where did the horny law prof go?
Succumbing to seduction?
What did the good prof do
To fight temptation?
Now his face all over the newspapers,
Cause he gave high grades for good head?
Oh, when will he ever learn?
Where have all those horny teachers gone?
Busy corrupting young kids?
Where have all their morals gone
Long time ago?
Eeks, staircases and lift landings
Will never be the same again.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where did Ng Boon Gay’s pecker go?
What bout Peter Lim’s?
What did that law scholar Alvin Tan do
To loose it all?
What did Michael Palmer do?
Following Yaw Shin Leong’s way?
Peccadilloes got them all…
When will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
