Originally released to celebrate Zino Davidoff’s 80th birthday in 1986, Davidoff Aniversario is a celebration of life itself. In a world where time is of the essence, Aniversario always creates moments out of the ordinary and fills time beautifully.
The newest incarnation – Davidoff ceased production of its cigars in Cuba in 1991 – of the Aniversario No. 1 is made with a Connecticut-seed wrapper grown in Ecuador covering a binder also grown in Ecuador and a filler blend made up of Dominican piloto viso, San Vicente viso and San Vicente Mejorado viso tobaccos.
This double corona cigar measuring 22cm long, with a ring gauge of 1.9cm enables a well-balanced evolution of all three sections of the cigar, beautifully highlighting the blend’s refined flavors.
The first third opens with herbal notes, enhanced by warm cedar and creamy undertones.
In the second third, bright citrus and zesty spice give way to rich, savory roasted nuts.
The final third brings a satisfying conclusion, as fresh spice melds seamlessly with walnut and cedar wood flavors for a grand finish.
